India was not fun. At all. So coming to Sri Lanka is like vacation! The beach is amazing, and swimming on the waves is like surfing, until you get saltwater in your eyes and mouth. So then you go in the pool. Later when your bored, you lock yourself in your room and watch High School Musical and Disney movies. Overall, its really fun!
I like it here more because I don't get stared at, even though a lot of the people are Indian, but there are so many British and German tourist that the people are used to them.
The best part is, my parents don't bug me to go out and tour MORE forts and temples and palaces, so I'm golden! It's like Punta Cana.

Sri Lanka = Hawaii + Jamaica + Thailand + India
After the grinds of Ethiopia and India, we've given ourselves a few days break at the beaches of Sri Lanka. Now I'm not saying, or even sure that, we deserve it, but we might as well have seen this mysterious country as it is right on route from SW to SE Asia.
Sri Lanka is known for it Ceylon teas, spices, breathtaking coast lines, Elephant Reserves and Buddhist temples - so what's not to like. Physically and weather-wise, it certainly does remind one of Hawaii or the Caribbean if you're a Yank. It is not a place many American visit, however, but it is nice to see many other tourist again. They are mostly from England, Germany and Russia, so we fit right in - finally. :)
We'll do some school-work the next few days and get ready for another long travel-day to Thailand, but until then, this Head Master will sip some local Lion Lager by the ocean after school is out in the afternoon - and pretend it's our Spring Break!
