5 hours later, plane doors open to a 95 degree sauna. Off to see Panama City and try the favorite beer in Panama, named "Panama Beer". And the famous crepes and waffles - who knew?
Off to see the Canal tomorrow and the edge of a rain forest (before they disappear).
Like Mexico and the Caribbean, the people here are so very warm and friendly. Mostly happy for a tourism economy, but I am naive enough to believe it goes deeper than that.
Christmas music still playing in the lobby though. ;(
P.S. Love all of the local service vans (in every country but the U.S.) with the flat fronts. I wish we had those.
