Yesterday morning we had some work done in the apartment, so we flipped the day and did our outside activity first, and then our studies in the afternoon and early evening.
Despite the generally bad reviews on TripAdvisor, we tried the Buenos Aires Big Yellow Hop-on and Hop-off tourist bus and were pleasantly surprised. We only did half the city because that alone was 2.5 hours - we stopped because the kids were melting in the hot sun (I feel bad just typing that.)
B.A. is an amazingly large, complex and beautiful city with all of the typical areas - financial district, upscale hotels and shopping, yuppie cafes, artisit lofts, industrial complexes, etc. We haven't really heard or seen but 1-2 other English speaking tourists besides us, as we think B.A. must be a big internal tourist destination for Argentines, and South Americans in general.
Stay tuned as we're trying to get Ben to contribute and add his unique voice to this blog, especially when he keeps dropping gems like..."Why again exactly am I on this trip?". Ha!
